BACHMAN ELIZABETH ANNA "BUFFY"
Age 83, a Moon Township resident since 1960, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2013 at Cranberry Place. She was born in Pittsburgh on August 16, 1929 to the late David and Sadie (Walder) Mudie. Beloved mother of Jan Brennan, David Bachman (Debra) all of Moon Township and Bruce Bachman (Debbie) of Imperial; cherished sister of Elsie Lou Kennet of Allentown and Agnes Geertz of Monroeville; proud grandmother of 11 and great -grandmother of six. In 1951, she graduated with her B.A. in Education from Edinboro State College and in 1976, she graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Her whole life she was an environmentalist who supported the Sierra Club. As a member of the Coraopolis United Methodist Church, she was active in the Wesleyan Service Guild and United Methodist Women. Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday from 10 – 10:45 a.m. with her celebration of life service at 11 a.m. at the Coraopolis United Methodist Church, 1205 Ridge Ave., Coraopolis, PA 15108. Rev. Amy Wagner officiating. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations in her name to Alzheimer's Disease Research Center, UPMC Montefiore, 4th FL, Suite W-421, 3459 Fifth Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15213, Attention: Leslie Dunn.
