Story of the 3 plaid dresses
Sadie made all of the girls' clothes. Mom still has this very special plaid dress with green buttons. It's in my attic. David Mudie's oldest sister, another Elsie, brought the material over on a ship when she visited one time. She thought she was so clever using it as a blanket so she didn't have to pay "duty" on it (taxes). MUM sewed the dresses and the girls loved them. Else's had blue buttons, Buff's had red buttons and Mom's had green buttons. I am pretty sure Jan still has Buff's dress too.
One of DADDY'S (David Mudie) many talents? He gave awesome haircuts all the time. MUM (Sadie) is the talented stylist here.
