Disagreement between Moshe and Granddad

A DISAGREEMENT
Moshe Kennet (Elsie Lou's husband and father of the
Kennet boys; Mark, Ed and Joel)

Mom tells a story of the first time she was introduced to McDonald's. Moshe was driving in Alliquippa when they stopped at this "fast food restaurant," a brand new concept. Daddy was positively appalled! Why would anybody pay to go to a restaurant when they could just go home and have Sadie could cook a meal? Why spend good nickels and dimes on this junk food when there's a fine kitchen at their house? Granddad was INCENSED!
Love hearing about the good old days!
Elsie Lou is standing, Mum and Daddy (Sadie and David Mudie) and Abbie
are sitting and the dog is Danny.
CHECK OUT THESE OUTRAGEOUS PRICES!!

This fast food concept will never catch on!!!

  1. This disagreement between Moshe and Granddaddy? I'm thinking it wasn't the first or the last disagreement between them.

  2. By no means the last, although it might be the first. One I can recall was when Granddad discovered that my dad bought wine by the case (he and my mom used to have a glass of wine every Friday with dinner for the Sabbath). Granddad blew up, railing about drinking and evil and how it was no good for anyone. My dad and mom mollified him by pointing out that drinking just a glass with dinner wouldn't hurt anyone, and that they got a better price by buying case lots.
